The client must also wear them. Next, apply the gel to the skin of the treatment area using a spatula; this facilitates the transmission of the light beam and helps prevent skin irritation. Then, set the device program and begin moving the handpiece over the target area. Typically, 5 or 6 passes are performed (depending also on the client’s tolerance level), alternating between linear and circular motions. Finally, to conclude the session, simply remove the excess gel using the spatula and a paper towel.
